This is dumb, but the term I search the most is “filled vegan doughnuts.” I do this search even in places I’ve done it before, in case some have magically popped up within the last week.
I very recently found out that a coffee shop here does donut Thursdays with all sorts of crazy flavors, and always includes a vegan option. I have literally been counting down the days until this Thursday, even though I assumed the vegan one wouldn’t be filled. I was still excited. Just went to their Instagram to see if they usually posted the flavors up. Only to find out the last donut Thursday was in November because the person who makes them is moving on. 🥺
If you ever want to do something to make me stupidly happy, get me a vegan doughnut with a custard or cream filling.
Actually, if you know places to get them, list them here, even if they are nowhere near me, in case I’m ever in the area.

Several people have responded with names of places that carry filled vegan donuts. Two get me especially fired up. One of them because it isn’t too far away from Boston, where I currently live. Plans are already in place to go with friends within the next couple weeks. The other because it is in Philly, where I had been making semi-frequent trips, but somehow never knew about it. I think, “These places should be much easier to find! Someone should make a directory!”

I notice a friend from back in Vermont who I haven’t seen in some time has started following the Instagram account, even though it only has two posts and I’ve made no attempts at getting the word out. I send a quick message asking how he found the account and get this back:
It came as a suggestion, I think liking a lot of things tagged vegan and having doughnuts in my name had to do with it. Is it you?
I laugh so hard I cry and feel more confident that making this directory now is a good decision, despite being loaded with work for the full-time data science program I am in.

I’m with friends at PVDonuts in Providence, RI. I have coffee and one of each of their current vegan flavors in front of me: Egg Nog, Cookie Butter, and filled Creme Brulee. This is clearly going to be a good day.
